Please pray for Edwin!

Dear all, when you chance upon my blog today, I want you to spend some time to pray for my little kid Edwin. (Of cos he's not my son... how I wish he is)

This is Edwin. He is my P1 pupil. He is going for a heart and leg operation this Fri. I don't really know what's wrong with him. He only mentioned that his arteries in his heart has got a problem. He was rather scared. But I assured him that I'll be praying for him.

1. Pray for the operation to be a successful one and that he will recover fast.

2. Pray for God's peace to be with him that he don't have to be afraid.

3. Pray that he will be as cheerful as before and will be able to enjoy all physical activities after his operation.

God hears and answers all our prayers! Thanks for all your prayers!

Riding on God's grace!

I thank God for a dear sis who was there to lend a listening ear and to encourage me on Fri. I went back home at 10.30am on Fri to prepare my sermon for Sat's CGM. As I was preparing, I just remembered some of the Words that God had spoken to me before. It seemed like it was yesterday that I just came to know Him. I worshiped Him and spent some time reading through the sermon and rehearsing them in my mind.

I felt refreshed after preparing. It was about 3pm when I'm done with everything and went back to school.

Overnight prayer meeting was cancelled because pastor wants us to rest due to our effort in FOP and 16th anniversary. So in the end, I went for my National Day Dinner and then went back home to rest. Finally, I managed to have some decent sleep. I woke up at 8plus and started to pray and read through my sermon again. I wanted so much for God to move in the CGM.

So it was Sat. We started our CGM late but everything was great. The atmosphere was good and I could really sense the presence of God in our midst as we worshiped Him. As I was preaching, at certain points, I could feel His presence so tangible. I was touched by His Word even as I preached. I realised I enjoyed what I'm preaching. This is the 1st time that I ever felt this way. I guess this is how it feels when I'm riding on His grace and the Holy Spirit's leading. At the end of the message, we sang the song, "My 1st Love is Jesus." Everytime we sang the name of Jesus, I was so touched by His presence.

I thank God for a breakthrough in my own spiritual life and also a breakthrough in CGM atmosphere. Bro Duncan said this was so far the best CGM I'd ever led and this will be my point of reference. I was so glad to hear that he enjoyed my preaching. So encouraged by God and what He has done for me. Indeed, it is when I am weak that I can be made strong in Him. Thank God for His goodness and grace all these years that I've known Him. I love Him more than ever before. I love You, Jesus!

My 1st love is Jesus
You're the One I adore
My 1st love is Jesus
You're the One that I'm living for

My 1st joy is Jesus
You're the strength of my life
My 1st joy is my Master
For You holds the key to my life

Jesus, Lord Jesus
Lord Jesus, You're my 1st love
How I love You
Oh how I love You
Jesus, Lord Jesus
Lord Jesus, You're my 1st love
How I love You
Oh how I love You Lord.

A Sense of Satisfaction!

I must declare that God is so good! I had been feeling exhausted and down these few days. Was even rather tired of teaching and going to work today. However, within a few hours, I was filled with joy and excitement to teach again.

Every year, every school will have the ACES Day on Teachers' Day Celebration. ACES --> All Children Exercise Simultaneously. So for the past 2 years, I was put in charge to do something about it. This year, I wasn't in charge, but I handled some of the things and I loved the dances!! I loved it so much more than the previous years'. To cut the long story short, we need to come out with something easier for the P1 and P2 pupils. So today, I took out my Fan Xiao Xuan CD and played the Jian Kang Ge for some of my colleagues to hear. Within a few minutes, we came up with the steps and movements. And the movements were so funny that we laughed non stop. At first, I was rather hesitant to carry out this dance. Then, upon everyone's consensus, we decided to go ahead. Can you imagine, we only learnt for 15 min and we decided to teach the whole of P1 and P2! So I jio all my khakis to bring their class down during my PE periods and began to teach the different classes, with the help of another friend. It was super hilarious and the kids really love the dance and enjoyed themselves so much! I taught the dance for 2hrs 30min straight, was tired but still enjoyed myself.

It was such a great joy to see the smiles on the kids' faces and many of them were singing and dancing at the same time. At the end of the day, when I was doing duty at the gate, many kids whom I do not know, came up to me and say goodbye to me. 1 walked up to me and said that the dance was very funny. Another came and said that it was very fun. At these point, no amount of tiredness can take away the joy that wells up within me. The sense of satisfaction overwhelms me once again.

Thank God for bringing back the passion of teaching. I love the kids and I love teaching PE. Tomorrow, I've set my heart to teach my pupils how to sing the song, so that everyone can enjoy the fullness of dancing and singing!!!

It's been a long while...

Dear all, it's been a long while and I still do not know what to blog about. I'm at the wilderness right now. Not knowing what to do and what to say. Everything is happening at a fast rate, so fast that I do not know how to react. Or maybe I do know, but I just couldn't get myself moving. Feeling weak all over me. But it is always when I am weak that I know I can be strong in Him. Pray for me. I will keep on walking through this valley and get out of it soon. This is a test-of-faith season. Either I make it, or I break it. But I believe God will always bring me through.
